BACKGROUND

Videomatica provides service for media viewers including researchers, students, film enthusiasts, collectors and local historians. Librarians who work with the physical portions of the collection consult with Videomatica to acquire new media and develop their catalogues.

Services that Videomatica offers:

• Sharing of recommendations to libraries for media acquisitions

• Provision of media rentals (previously) converted to sales of VHS, DVD and Bluerays

• Procurement and curation of niche media for viewer

• Cultural preservation of local history and local media

• Endorsement of local media arts scene through stocking local work, and promotion of festivals.

• Hub of cultural and historical media knowledge and expertise.
